Today's Styles For Medium-Length Hair

Today's Styles For Medium-Length Hair Short hair is just too dramatic for some and it just isn't a good look for others. Long hair is beautiful, yet it can be time consuming to style everyday in addition to the time it takes to shampoo, condition and brush it out on a regular basis. Medium-length hair is a wonderful alternative for so many women because it is sexy, fun and easy to care for. Even better, there are always many new ways for women with medium-length hair to keep their look fresh and new from day to day.

It doesn't matter what kind of hair a girl has, she can always make a medium-length hair style look good. From straight and smooth to wavy and curled, there is at least one style that would look outstanding when cut to a medium length on any woman.

If you aren't sure what is considered to be medium-length hair, most people consider anything from one or two inches above the shoulder and down to the shoulder to be the right length. This hair length offers the convenience of a shorter hair cut to make styling fast and easy. It also offers the benefits of having longer hair because it can still be pulled back or styled into complicated twists.

There are so many tools that can make today's styles for medium-length hair easy and fun. Hot rollers can change the look of any hair within just a few minutes. Someone with short hair couldn't even consider using hot rollers! Hair straighteners are also a lot of fun to use when styling medium-length hair.

If you aren't sure what you can do to make a medium-length hair style fresh and new, consider adding bangs to your look. If that isn't the answer for you, one of the most classic hairstyles that can work for everyone, the bob, might be what you need. If all else fails, go for lots and lots of layers!

Dyeing Your Hair Medium and/or Light Brown

Dyeing Your Hair Medium and/or Light Brown Whilst intense hair color changes require the abilities of a hairdresser, the most important sellers in home dyes are medium or light shades of brown.

Modern hair dyes are a complicated fusion of colourants and chemicals, permitting you to dye your hair from the lightest white blonde right down to blue-based black. Semi-permanent dyes that cover grey are presently available, although they frequently come with a proviso stating they only cover up to a certain percentage of gray hair.

These dyes are purchased to cover gray, add richness and body to thin hair, reanimate dreary hair and add a glossy glaze to dry hair. It is very hard to achieve a decent result by dyeing over medium or dark brown hair dye with light brown dye. If in doubt, choose a much lighter brown as you can always dye over it next time with a darker shade.

These dyes darken the grey hairs to a shade nearer the rest of the hair, instead of totally covering the gray. These are popular with people who don't need to use chemicals on their hair. Combo dye and highlighter packs are presently available, which give subtle highlights throughout the top layers of your hair, giving the impression of thicker hair. Medium brown dyes are better for this because they're red-based dyes and give varied tones to your hair. With these dyes, it is sensible to select a shade darker than your natural colour.

Wash-in / wash-out tints are best at reviving leaden hair and adding a glossy sheen to dry hair.

You should not dye different permanent dyes over one another without giving your hair time to recover. If youre attempting to find just the shine and not the color, employ a wash-in / wash-out hint.

How often you may use semi-permanent dyes and wash-in, wash-out tints depends on the chemical formula of the dye. A break of 3 months is recommended. Some vegetable-based dyes contain metallic salts that may react with ammonia, turning your hair green and fragile. The info leaflet that comes with the dye will state how often these dyes may be employed. Unless you are naturally confident, the darkest shades of brown must be avoided as these can make you look austere.

Medium shades that are available to buy include chocolate brown and chestnut brown, while light shades include ash brown and caramel brown.

You might find you want to wear tons of make-up to bring out your features, as darker shades pale out your face. With such a big range of brown dyes available, you can be quite intrepid without straying too far from your natural hair color.

Medium Length Hair Cuts

Medium Length Hair Cuts There are a myriad of medium length hair cuts nowadays that capture the essence of beauty and style. The medium curly hairstyle can be scrunched just a tad to create a lovely appearance. With tiny, tight curls, added to the bangs, this is most certainly a desired touch for many women. Another novel haircut is a sleek multi-layer cut, which is very cute and adorable, as this mid-length style is defined by bangs that are split in the front, while partially covering the face. Another contender is the medium curled-out Bob, which is closely related to the first two styles, except this one is a little bit more playful. The hair is roughly at shoulder length, with bangs that are parted and thin, while the ends are tweaked and tousled. This presents a look that might be unique for you.

As far as the celebrity medium hairstyle choices, there are a few that are very simple to put together. It is important to imagine the tumbling, falling hair curls that can be seen on many celebrities and models. In the case that the woman can wear this type of look, then this bouncy, elegant look is sure to gather the attention of everyone. If this attention is important, you will find your life will become much more joyful. In addition, another promising look that is becoming increasingly popular is the layered look, whether wavy or straight, many debutantes have found this style to really give a sleek, fashionable appearance. Out of the variety of medium length haircuts, the Bob requires the most maintenance. In order to keep up with this hairstyle effectively, it is vital to trim it at least once every six weeks. This is important to maintain this look and style.

Among the popular middle length haircuts, the shaggy look works effectively for those with coarse hair, and this type of cut really helps to frame the face. When the style is cut to perfection, the face has a thinner, younger, brighter appearance. Furthermore, the shaggy cut requires the least amount of maintenance, making it just about perfect for career women with busy lives and schedules. Most universally used among modern women, the layered look is a lovely medium length style, and for women that can benefit greatly from appearing thinner, then this style certainly is the perfect choice. Something you will enjoy for a long time to come.

Hair pulled back tight with a sleek, straight hair bun will look classic and clean, and will help to show off your jewelry and neck beautifully.

The 25 most liked pages on Facebook

For those of you on Facebook, you know what this means. Being "Liked" just means that someone has clicked the "like" button on your page.

Here's the list of the top 25.

The only surprise on the list, as far as I'm concerned, is Bob Marley (#18). He would have killed for this kind of fan support when he was alive. 28,719,894 have clicked "like" on his page.

And I'm one of 'em.

Link roundup

1. Preorder links for The Old Republic ($60-$150) with an expected release date of 12/31/11. (I didn't see what the monthly subscription would cost.)

2. Grantland looks at NFL free agent busts through the years.

3. "Have we got a contest for you! Break out those Photoshop skills and place your favorite writer on our super-duper Paris Review beach towel for a chance to win exactly this towel!" Via.

4. Laughing Squid uncovered more information and video about that bowling pin car I posted a few days ago.

Chevrolet sold 2.35 million cars worldwide in the first six months of 2011, which is a record number in the company’s 100-year history. The GM brand sold 286,499 more vehicles than in the same period of 2010, which represents a 14% increase.

This is due to Chevrolet gaining ground in its top five markets. In the US, its sales increased by 16%, in China by 15%, in Russia, where it is the best-selling global brand, by 54%, in Canada by 8% and in Brazil by 0.4% over the record first-half of 2010.

Zillow

Another internet property that hasn't made money went public this week, and investors snapped it up like candy.

This one is real estate site Zillow.

I'm starting to think that Just One Bad Century should go public, but I worry that because we've actually made a profit investors won't want anything to do with us.

As the Rupert Turns

Investors seemed calmed after the Murdochs testified, at least for that one day.

Since then, not so much.

It appears people are starting to wake up to the fact that this story is far from over. Here's a preview of the next bombshell.

Unless it's this upcoming bombshell.

Oh, and then there's the potential fallout from people brave enough to scrutinize his ridiculous testimony, particularly the part about being a hands-off CEO.

My latest piece is in the new issue of Shore Magazine. It's an interview with playwright John Lisbon Wood.

SPOILER ALERT: THIRD gay character in Albert Square, as Ben Mitchell reveals sexuality

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Coming out: Joshua Pascoe, who plays Ben Mitchell, will be the third gay member of the soap

As Coronation Street comes under fire for broadcasting too many gay plotlines, EastEnders introduces its third gay character to Walford.

At just 15-years-old, teenager Ben Mitchell will reveal his true sexuality, devastating his masculine father Phil in the process.

Actor Joshua Pascoe, who is the fourth actor to play the part of Ben, joins couple Syed Masood and Christian Clarke as 'the only gays in the village'

An EastEnders source told The Mirror: 'Since the day Ben returned to Walford, he’s been a bit of a disappointment for Phil.

'With his love of dancing and musicals, Ben was not cast from the same tough guy mould as his father.

'It’s ironic that Phil’s efforts to turn his son into a mini version of himself backfire spectacularly when he encourages Ben to go boxing with Duncan.'

Homosexual characters: Syed and Christian will empathise with Ben

The insider added: 'But no one could anticipate the chain of events this will spark around Walford as Ben tries to keep his sexuality secret from his father.
'Poor Ben is terrified of Phil’s reaction but the truth will come out, sooner or later.'

The controversial storyline sees Ben and Duncan's relationship blossom when Ben takes a risk by planting a kiss on his friend.
He is stunned when Duncan returns his affections, rather than pushing him away in disgust.

But when Patrick Trueman spots them, Ben is terrified the shopkeeper will tell his father and heads to his mini-mart to intimidate him.

The situation goes from bad to worse when terrified Patrick calls the police, leaving Phil fuming and demanding an apology.

Loyal Patrick refuses to say sorry, but does keeps the truth about Ben.

Fellow EastEnders Syed Masood and Christian Clarke, played by Marc Elliott and John Partridge, caused controversy during a recent scene that saw them lying in bed together, apparently naked beneath the sheets.

Over 100 viewers complained, saying the intimacy was 'inappropriate'.
But the BBC hit back, saying the show has a duty to reflect 'real life'.

'He's a tiger': Courtney Stodden, 16, reveals a little too much information about her love life with husband Doug Hutchison

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Defensive: Doug Hutchinson and Courtney Stodden discussed how their relationship has become a global phenomenon in a new E! online

They have spent the last month defending their controversial marriage along with the 35-year-age gap.

But it seems 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison and wife Courtney Stodden, 16, have not even come close to stopping when it comes to revealing intimate secrets of their unlikely union.

'He's a tiger,' Stodden told E! Online about Hutchison's bedroom performance after her husband said he wished he had been a virgin on their wedding night. 'It's fine that he wasn't.'

'You're so bad,' Hutchison said, nuzzling his pouting wife in the interview which aired today.

The couple, who met online when Stodden signed up for acting classes on Hutchison's website, said they had not anticipated that their marriage would 'captivate the nation.'

'Globally, we have become the most controversial couple in the world,' said the actor, who starred in Tom Hanks film The Green Mile. 'We didn't anticipate that.'

In love: The couple flirted with each other and insisted they are 'soul mates' on their latest interview

Stodden, who hopes to become an actress and singer, married Hutchison with her parents' blessing on June 21 in Las Vegas.

Her husband today defended his wife in the wake of speculation that she has had surgery.

'A lot of the critics are saying that Courtney is a fake,' he said. 'That's she's a Barbie doll, fake boobs, fake lips, fake nose, fake hair - but God was her only plastic surgeon.'

'I was born this way out of the womb,' Stodden insisted. 'Like, hello world!'

Posing: Stodden pouted and posed her way through the interview where she denied she had gone through plastic surgery

'I believe there's one rule in Hollywood, and that's that there are no rules,' he said. 'I've been courted by producers, directors, agents... I don't think it's been a career killer.

'Courtney is more important to me than my career,' he added. 'That's all there is to it.'

The couple are reportedly looking to feature in their own reality show and plan on starting a family at some point in the near future.
